Description

At StudieStap, we give high school students meaningful learning experiences. Through interdisciplinary workshops, they explore how societal and technological challenges connect to different fields of study and how they intertwine. In doing so, students discover that knowledge is not just something to learn, but something to use to make a difference for a better tomorrow. We believe that the best kind of learning happens when students are truly engaged with what they are learning. As Benjamin Franklin once said: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” And what better way to get involved than by creating a serious At StudieStap, StudieStappers (students and just graduates) give workshops on a wide variety of topics, from sustainability and neuroscience to criminology and aviation, and more. You will be designing a serious game for one or two of our workshops, but which one exactly is something we will decide together. More fun if you too like the topic aye? ;) For instance, will you create a city building game where players integrate food forests into sustainable urban design? Or a more story driven detective game where students uncover how forensic traces help identify a terrorist? Let your ideas marinate as you explore our website, and know this: whichever direction you choose, your creativity and input will help bring science and society to life for the next generation of high school students!

Expected MVP

An MVP is when the game adds clear value to the existing workshop, with plenty of interaction, autonomy in decision-making, depth, and interdisciplinary thinking in place, actively enhancing the learning experience.

A fully developed version becomes a product that makes sixteen-year-olds’ eyes light up. A game so entertaining that they would prefer keep playing it at home to explore the topic further than spend another round on FIFA or Fortnite. ;)
