Kids Draughts

Description

Kids Draughts is a comprehensive educational ecosystem designed to introduce children to international draughts (10×10) in a modern, engaging, and structured way. By combining schools, families, clubs, and national and international federations into one digital platform, the project uses the game of draughts as a powerful tool for cognitive development, strategic thinking, concentration, and problem solving. Children learn through interactive lessons, puzzles, and games supported by an AI Coach, while teachers and parents gain insight into progress and learning outcomes. The platform is child first, safe by design, GDPR compliant, and focused on learning through play rather than passive instruction.

Beyond education, Kids Draughts is built as a scalable community and competition system. Starting from schools as the primary entry point, it organically grows into local and virtual clubs, regional and national tournaments, and official federation pathways (KNDB / FMJD). The system supports lesson creation, AI-driven personalization, online and offline competitions, volunteer and club management, and future international expansion. Together, these elements turn draughts into a living movement, connecting learning, community, and competition, while creating a sustainable, futureproof foundation for youth development through strategic play.

Expected MVP

The core of the system is a playable board (with click/drag and drop/animations/sounds etc) connected to an existing engine (scan) to be able to play against the engine on multiple levels and/or use the engine to check for solutions etc
