The project aims to build a web- and mobile-based social platform that helps people connect in their local communities through shared interests and nearby events. The core idea is to reduce loneliness and strengthen social participation by creating meaningful real-world encounters.

Users can: - Create a simple profile - Select interests - Discover local events and activities - See people with similar interests or event participation nearby - Connect, chat, or meet in person

Municipalities, NGOs, and local clubs can: - Publish local events and initiatives - Promote participation and volunteering - Measure social impact and engagement in their community

A Event Importer / Open Data Integration Goal: Automatically collect and normalize public event data from open sources to enrich local content. MVP: Develop an importer that fetches events from 1–2 open sources (e.g. ICS, iCal, RSS, or JSON feeds from municipalities) and stores them in a standardized event format.

Full Version: Scalable importer network supporting multiple formats (Meetup API, OpenAgenda, CSV uploads) with deduplication, metadata enrichment, and automated updates.

B Gamification & Engagement Module Goal: Increase user engagement through playful interaction and recognition.

MVP: Create a basic point or badge system rewarding actions (e.g. attending an event, inviting a friend). Display badges in the user profile.

Full Version: Add levels, community leaderboards, time-based challenges, and personalization of reward logic (per municipality or event type).

C Impact Measurement Dashboard Goal: Provide a transparent, open dashboard showing anonymized social impact metrics.

MVP: Create a public dashboard prototype that visualizes synthetic or sample data (e.g. number of events, participants, interests matched).

Full Version: Connect live anonymized data, add comparative metrics (month-to-month growth, engagement levels), export for funding reports, and integrate data storytelling elements.

D. Community Contribution Portal Goal: Enable citizens and organizations to contribute ideas, feedback, or event suggestions easily.

MVP: Build a simple web form where users can submit ideas or events; submissions are stored in a public (moderated) list.

Full Version: Add moderation tools, login/verification, comment threads, and an admin interface for approving or featuring contributions.
